It’s better to login as user, instead of root, otherwise you can’t control audio.
HDMI audio was very distorted on my machine, but audio from the headphone jack is ok.
Installation:
sudo apt install scummvm
You will also see some suggestions to install games.
Example: sudo apt install beneath-a-steal-sky
