Hi,
V2 board supports RV64GC by default. For the newer extensions going to get released, how does the support work for them? Should be user be able to apply those new extension by any means though support team?
Those are ISA extensions. So, to get other extensions, you need hardware that supports it. You can’t just add extensions to existing hardware.

You question is a lot like asking can you upgrade a high end motorcycle into a basic car with a remote software upgrade.
In theory, I guess, if you really wanted you could emulate most future extensions through software library calls generated from an exception handler, but it would probably be at least three, or in reality far more, orders of magnitude slower than having the hardware (Think about a 80486 attempting to emulate a Pentium).
