It turns out that IMG_GPU of VF2 is NOT OPEN SOURCE, which is a bit disappointing.

Not yet, it is up to Imagination Technologies, and they have just this year publicly expressed that they are committed to Open source.
Oh and “GPU will be open-sourced in the future by Imagination”
