Thank you. I’m giving the openKylin 2.0 image a go.

I can report it does display the gui desktop!!! Congratulations!!!

user: openkylin
password: openkylin

open up a terminal
sudo bash
dpkg-reconfigure locales
Then change it to the desktop language of your choice. reboot and you’re good.

apt-get update/upgrade work, but after rebooting, the system crawls and the mouse doesn’t follow at all. All over the place. I’ll try again.
Where’s firefox/chromium? Nope, I’m finding it unusable.

holds a base image: openEuler-23.09-V1-base-visionfive2-preview.img.zst
and a preview desktop image: openEuler-23.09-V1-xfce-visionfive2-preview.img.zst

The user password for it still applies as mentioned here:

  • The password of user root is openEuler12#$.
  • The password of the default user openeuler is openEuler12#$.

The desktop does appear and everything is in english so it’s usable.

Hello, glad you started UKUI Desktop normally! :hugs:

Please do not execute the apt upgrade command because it is still an embedded customized version of the UKUI desktop environment, there will be problems with the desktop after the update.
