2. StarFive Release d Application Note for Building NAS with VisionFive 2
CasaOS is an open-source home cloud system based on the Docker ecosystem, specifically designed for home scenarios. Its UI is user-friendly and applications are easy to port. Inspired by the tutorial shared by developers on RVspace forum about Installing CasaOS on Ubuntu23 on VisionFive 2, StarFive successfully ported CasaOS to the official Debian system.
This application note has now been published in the documentation center. The guide provides a detailed introduction to the method of using VisionFive 2 to build NAS from three aspects: preparation, install CasaOS and CasaOS, and install storage software.

3. Porting RVOS on VisionFive 2 (Part 1)
Developer Liu Jila(刘霁兰) has released a tutorial video about Porting RVOS on VisionFive 2 (Part 1). The video includes an explanation of the M-state RVOS: tp register, CPU related porting, startup process, peripheral device (UART) porting, and so on.

Recently, the National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) in the UK has collected the world’s first RISC-V laptop DC-ROMA donated by DeepComputing as part of its computer exhibition. The DC-ROMA laptop showcases the infinite potential and broad prospects of RISC-V to the world. The DC-ROMA laptop is the world’s first native RISC-V architecture laptop, designed by the world’s leading RISC-V terminal equipment manufacturer DeepComputing. The first batch of delivered products are equipped with StarFive’s high-performance RISC-V SoC JH-7110.
