There is an idea called the “Wisdom of the Crowd” the notion that the collective opinion of a diverse and independent group of individuals (rather than that of a single expert) yields the best results. So just for fun, when do you think that first the VisionFive 2 Lite will start their journey towards the people who supported them on Kickstarter. There is no point in trying to predict the actual delivery date because that is dependent on a complex global mail delivery system which is not going to yield the same date for everybody in every country. But trying to predict the date that the very first packages will start their journey should be something that is predictable by a large enough crowd of people (the more people who vote the closer the normal distribution should be to the correct answer!). We’ve completed 85% of the campaign surveys (confirming shipping addresses with backers). Given the upcoming Chinese National Day holiday (October 1st–8th), we’ll finish packaging 85% of products before the break and then start shipping immediately after the holiday.
With this timeline, most backers can expect to receive their VF2 Lite sometime in mid-to-late October.
Last time, back in 2022, with the original VF2, they shipped them and then only provided tracking numbers on request, see this thread - you provided your Kickstarter backer number and they would lookup the status. So how can you be sure that your board has not shipped.
There are 436 backers on the VF2L campaign, so your backer number will be between 1 and 436, you can find it on Kickstarter at the bottom of “view pledge”.
Me personally I am in no rush, StarFive have stated exactly what they planned to do, if there was a problem I am sure they would have said something - it is not late October (yet). I am happy to wait and see, it is not like having my individual tracking number will make the package arrive sooner. The global mail delivery system is not inherently fast.
I’m not in a rush either but they should be more accurate with what they say. The last update said we’d receive it by mid to late this month , delivery usually it takes from 7 - 14 days.
So technically most of us won’t receive it this month. If it had been shipped, they would’ve posted a shipping update with tracking info on Sheet or sent individual emails through PledgeBox or even DMed us.
