DC-ROMA PAD II with Spacemit K1/X60 soc, how to proceed

Hi there! I just arrived here, searching for a place to chat about risc-v and my new device, the above mentioned tablet with the Spacemit K1.

I am a sysadmin+dev and I aspire to get into riscv development. From my impression so far, riscv has great potential but lacks more hands on deck. The standardisation with extensions makes it pretty easy to grasp a basic understanding of the chip.

Between getting into debugging deepcomputings ubuntu and debian versions, understanding why git fails pretty often and starting to port software asap, can anyone point me into a direction where to get started?

Have a good one. Let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome! I’d love to hear more about the DC-ROMA Pad II. I have the Banana Pi F3, with the same chip.
Starfive hasn’t released hardware with the SpacemiT, so you might also go to forums of companies that have released hardware with that chip.
