VF2L in a RPi 1B+/2B/3B/3B+ case?

For the most part yes, the mounting hole and connector locations are the same between the B+, 2B, 3B and 3B+

There are a handful of cases though which have things like built in heatsinks or mounting plates that touch the board directly and rely on the specific layout of components. These may have compatibility issues with versions other than the one they are specifically designed for.

This would suggest that even more RPi cases (B+, 2B, 3B and 3B+) might possibly work on the VF2L. I have updated the first post as much as I can to indicate this, even changed the title, which I did not realize I could do.
