You need to look at how old the information is on some random website on the internet is and compare it to the date of the latest official StarFive quick start guide. I think that Image-55 was first available back in 2022-12-20, or somewhere around that time. And by comparison the latest quick start guide (at time of writing) was last updated 2023-05-10. If you choose to use 6 month old information you will encounter problems and bugs that existed 6 months ago and have since been fixed.
If using the latest sdcard.img file be sure that your boot switches are configured (while powered off) to the SDIO3.0 position. That way the VF2 will ignore the old and now out of date “u-boot-spl.bin.normal.out” and “visionfive2_fw_payload.img” stored inside the boards QSPI NOR FLASH chip and use the very latest ones directly from partitions of the SD card instead during the boot process.
