the VF2 is a general purpose board, but mainly a micro-controller, which means the emphasis is on GPIOs and HW connections, more than on SW features.
Again, here it is possible to activate what you want on the kernel, but either you do it yourself or you wait until someone feels it is time.
By the way, I have problems with the ubuntu 22.04 LTS kernels, that don’t support my new webcam, while it works on Arch. Shall I go on all Ubuntu/Debian fora and start screaming that they are missing out my all-important feature to make videos? For me, that is the most important feature for that OS.
