After upgrading to Debian 13.7
Interesting. Can you test WebGL Aquarium?
I also played the game https://openfront.io/.
LivingLinux,If you need chromium142, please give me an email address, and I’ll send you the deb package.
I’m not sure if I can receive emails larger than 100MB.

4、Before upgrading debian13.7, it is necessary to back up/boot/all files. After the upgrade, the backup files need to be overwritten to ensure that the GPU works properly.
Thanks for sending the files.
Do I need to install them in a certain order?
What do you mean exactly with this? Do I need to change the URLs in the mentioned files? sources.list points to a 2024 snapshot. starfive-sid.list points to https://debianrepo-t.starfivetech.com starfive-debian trixie.
I backed up /boot. Do I simply overwrite all the files in /boot after the upgrade?
YES.
NO.
‘please refer to update-from-bookworm.png on the release’ This sentence is the most important. The article link only indicates the source of this sentence,
Upgrading to debian13.7 should use the libraries of the debian distribution.

Does it still work if you upgrade to my kernel 6.12.XXX from VisionFive 2 Linux ?
Or do some parts of the HW acceleration stack break? I am curious because I only run my vf2l headless so I am not sure about feasibility of the -r0b0 kernel for GUI users.

Test debian202510 for VF2: After upgrading to Kernel 6.12.89, gnome runs smoothly, GPU runs smoothly, and HDMI sound is normal; Occasionally unable to find nvme on VF2; VPU not be working, MPV plays local videos, before upgrading: CPU<30% GPU<30%, after upgrading: CPU>70% GPU<30%. I have two uses for the 6.12.1XX-r0b0 kernel you created:
- Upgrade the kernel of debian202510 so that both GPU and VPU can work properly.
- The debian 13.7 release does not support VF2 HDMI. After installing according to the debian installation manual, replace the official debian kernel with the one you have created, and HDMI display will be available. And even without a GPU, I can still use labwc smoothly.
The second use, I use it more. So thank you very much r0b0.
I mean your chromium 142 build.
Does it run with the same speed with 6.12.111-r0b0 as it does with 6.12.5? 23fps with 500 fish in the aquarium?

I did not test 6.12.111+chromium142. I guess 6.12.111+chromium142 is hardware supported(Need to upgrade system components to debian13.7).
Although debian202510 can be upgraded to 6.12.111-r0b0 and supports GPU and VPU. But my VF2 is on a local area network, so I didn’t upgrade the kernel.
My VF2 is installed with multiple operating systems on a single machine, so I need a grub boot with debian13.7(Official release version),Therefore, the r0b0 kernel is necessary.
Additional note: The deb installation package for chromium142 was not compiled by me. I downloaded it from a Riscv software package website in Changzhou, China last year. This website has been closed for over six months and I can no longer find its URL.
补充说明:chromium142的deb安装包,不是我编译的。是我去年从中国常州市的一个riscv软件包网站下载的,这个网站已经关闭了超过半年,我再也找不到它的网址。
